Miss Vickia (Kia) Rosier, a Tallahassee native, 2x nominee with the 'Tallahassee Women Magazine', and a 2020 Golden A.C.E Award Recipient, is not only a mentor but a licensed nurse with an unwavering passion for the youth and the community she serves. Miss Kia devotes her time to numerous outreach initiatives such as being a volunteer at the Juvenile Detention Center, Whole Child Leon Popup Preschool and is a member of the National Council of Negro Women, Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals, and the Big Bend AHEC Scholar (2020-2022).
Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University awarded her a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management. She is a Christ-follower who is pleased to work as the nursery director and hospitality assistant at the Family Worship Praise Center. Miss Kia, a meek and humble woman with many "crowns," develops fresh methods to engage with the youth in the community. She created Cultivating Queens to break down barriers, and she believes that it will become a movement that positively benefits our young women and future generations.
Miss Ericka Horne, MPH, of Deerfield Beach, FL, has had a compassionate heart for others since she was a child. This Jamaican-American Health Advocate comes from a blended family of nine siblings and serves her community as a youth mentor, community health worker, dancer, choreographer, science and Spanish teacher, and public speaker, among other things.
Since he was a child, Mr. McGriff of Tallahassee, FL, has had a caring heart for humanity. His unique upbringing sparked his desire to be the change that he desires to see. He obtain his AA degree from Tallahassee Community College, while being the proud owner and operator of Lee's Towing and Recovery. He is adamant that "all people are good people, but not all exposure is good exposure." He feels that Cultivating Queens is a groundbreaking program that helps young women appreciate their value.
Michelle, the Principal Event Coordinator of Eventive Impressions, has planned special events such as weddings, corporate parties, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers for over 15 years. She is the First Lady of Family Worship and Praise Center, where she proudly serves as the church administrator. Having degrees in business and accounting, she combines her education with her passion for the youth in the community.
Miss Young, a Pinterest-crazy middle school teacher in Florida’s capital city. Ms. Young is a believer in Christ, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, first-generation graduate, god-mother, business owner, speaker, blogger, and most honorably, a mental health advocate.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Her enthusiasm in getting this degree and co-founding The Minority Mental Health Series stems from her prior involvement with mental health and wellness topics. She is here to help the QUEENS focus on their mental health and unconditionally love themselves.
